Founded in 1915, Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle offers excellent training and study conditions in the fields of art and design. With over 1,000 students, it is one of the largest art colleges in Germany. Visionary thinking and design as well as the development of practical professional skills are promoted in over 30 fields of study. The university has well-equipped studios and workshops and is networked with numerous facilities and institutions.
A total of five degree courses take part in the festival with seminars and projects:

Didactics of Art with the project BRÜCKEN, BRÜCHE, SCHNITTSTELLEN under the direction of Prof. Dr. Sara Burkhardt
Sculpture/Metal, with the project TRANSFORMATION under the direction of Prof. Andrea Zaumseil
Design Sciences, with the project LEARNING FROM BITTERFELD under the direction of Prof. Dr. Pablo Abend and Prof. Dr. Veronica Biermann
and Design Fundamentals with the project STADT – RAUM – STRUKTUR under the direction of Prof. Bettina Erzgräber
