The Wolfen Industry and Film Museum is one of the most important industrial heritage sites in Saxony-Anhalt. It is located on the site of the former Wolfen film factory and shows the production of photographic film in authentic production rooms with original equipment. AGFA produced the world’s first universally usable color film here in 1936. The factory was also one of the first and largest manufacturers of synthetic fibers. The museum documents this as well as the regional industrial history. More than 800 historical cameras and projectors are presented in a “treasure chamber”. The Wolfen Industrial and Film Museum is an institution of the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld.
