Gebäude 123

© Aljoscha Begrich

The building with the equally sensational and simple name 123 dates from the first construction phase of the AGFA film factory in Wolfen around 1910 and served as an office building and central administrative headquarters for the company. All the buildings on the factory premises were numbered consecutively and most of them were connected. Right next to it was a train station where the tracks from Wolfen station ended and which can still be recognized today by the roofing. With the end of the film factory in the 1990s came the demolition and only a few buildings remained, such as 123, which first served as a vocational school and later as a vaccination center.
