WOLFENER SCHWALBEN

What potential lies in empty houses and barely used squares? In a workshop, the Berlin sculptor Wilhelm Klotzek, together with pupils from the Heinrich-Heine-Gymnasium in Wolfen, looked for architectural visions for the district. The resulting drawings can be viewed on the trail.

The Berlin sculptor Wilhelm Klotzek approached the questions of the future together with pupils from the Heinrich-Heine-Gymnasium in Wolfen. What happens to so much open space? While for many older people, the brownfield sites in and around Wolfen often mark a sense of absence and loss, for young people they are spaces of opportunity for new things. What potential lies in empty houses and squares that are barely used? During a workshop on architectural visions for the Wolfen district, students made drawings that Wilhelm Klotzek placed in front of the entrance to the former central administrative headquarters of the former film manufacturer AGFA.
