NAMEN, DIE WIR TRAGEN

Ronny, Jacqueline, Ezra or Ivan: artist Michikazu Matsune gets to know people in the region through a very personal approach: Through their first names. Together with people from Bitterfeld-Wolfen, he is developing a performative presentation about the stories behind the names.

Some names arouse great expectations, others are met with prejudice. It also happens that a name changes with a major life decision. But every name has a very special, usually very personal story behind it. The artist Michikazu Matsune will collect stories about first names before and during the festival and present them together with the workshop participants. Names We Carry is a collective portrait of unique individuals full of unspectacular-spectacular personal stories.
