KUNSTWELTEN: MEIN KURBELKINO
In the open workshop, artists Angela González and Matthias Luthardt show visitors how they can create short animated films from 24 individual images. They use so-called Kinomats, small boxes with a crank that can be used to set the images in motion. When the crank is turned, the images flip over and visually start to move. In this way, visitors can become the producers of their own crank cinema.
The open workshop is part of the KUNSTWELTEN project, a long-term project of the Akademie der Künste Berlin in cooperation with the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld (cultural office) and Chemiepark Bitterfeld-Wolfen GmbH.
