In the WERKSORCHESTER, adults with no previous experience meet students from the Bitterfeld Music School who become their teachers. The focus is on the “teachers”: Bitterfeld and Wolfen residents who were born after 2000 and have their very own, new idea of this city and its future. Based on this, we ask: What actually came after 1990? What actually comes after “the East“? When does “the East” end? How much does the post-reunification generation still identify with the history of East Germany? And what might a post-East Germany look like?
