AUF SCHICHT

Zwipro, Oberkipper, Sabotagebalken – the AUF SCHICHT project brings light into the darkness! Photographer Franziska Klose and author Lorenz Hoffmann are bringing together contemporary witnesses of industrial work from Bitterfeld-Wolfen and the Ruhr region. As former industrial centers and mining regions, both regions have many similarities, but also differences in their industrial history. Life experiences in everyday working life, with deindustrialization and transformation, are often only considered regionally, although they are structurally determined. In preparation for the festival, there will be an initial meeting in the Ruhr region where contemporary witnesses can exchange ideas and collect stories together. The exchange and historical and current photos will be used to create an interactive picture bingo that invites people to join in at the festival.
