Nike Bätzner

Nike Bätzner, born in Stuttgart in 1961, has been Professor of Art History at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle since 2008, having previously taught at universities in Berlin and Braunschweig. Alongside teaching, she also works as an exhibition curator. Her research focuses on the history of presentation (since the Wunderkammern), the reception of optical media in art (Blickmaschinen), the performative nature of sculpture (Arte povera/Azioni povere) and the history of ideas.
