Städtisches Kulturhaus Bitterfeld-Wolfen
The Bitterfeld-Wolfen Municipal House of Culture was founded in the 1920s and has been used as a “hall for entertainment evenings” ever since. Especially in the days of the film factory, performances, series of events and activities, in particular amateur drama groups, took place here. Today, guest performances are presented on stage here several times a month and many associations such as the Amateur Theater Wolfen or the Wolfen Ballet Ensemble work here. During the festival, the dance performance HANDARBEIT by choreographers Isabelle Schad, Josephine Findeisen, Claudia Tomasi and sculptor Nora Mertes will be shown on the main stage. In collaboration with the Women’s Center and women from Bitterfeld-Wolfen, they have created a dance piece that focuses on their own life stories and asks how personal experiences can be interwoven through dance.
