WOLFEN EINDOSEN – FOTOGRAFISCHE STREIFZÜGE MIT DER LOCHKAMERA
The pinhole camera, also known as the “camera obscura” (meaning “dark chamber”), is the first forerunner of modern photography. In their workshop, the two amateur photographers Sandra and Frank Schubert and the artist Axel Töpfer invite you to build simple pinhole cameras yourself and use them to explore the former film city of Wolfen photographically. With a mobile darkroom, the expeditions will also lead to hidden places within Wolfen. There, the motif and camera position are determined: How do the shadows fall? Where is the horizon, reflections, perspectives? The cameras are then filled with paper, the correct exposure time is tested and the finished pictures are washed out in the former fire station in Wolfen. They will also be exhibited here afterwards. The aim of the workshop is to give those interested a basic understanding of the principles of analog photography. Here you can learn how light, time and sensitivity are consciously used in photography and how your own impression of a place or event can be enhanced and communicated with the help of the photographic image.
