WIE SCHMECKT BITTERFELD-WOLFEN?

What better way to end a festival than with a meal together? For the big closing picnic, we invite everyone to bring together the diversity of tastes and flavors of Bitterfeld-Wolfen. We want to talk about the festival and the East once again over a meal together.

What’s new, what’s familiar? How do you prepare it? And where do the ingredients come from? Did everything taste better in the past or today? In the run-up to the festival, artists Paula Erstmann and Lucila Guichon will be visiting various communities in Bitterfeld-Wolfen with their cooking van. They discuss questions of cultural, different tastes and collect recipes and their regions of origin. Both provide topics for discussion geographical or historical peculiarities are brought up, personal memories and dreams, similarities and differences. During the festival, the artists are present in the festival center with their open pantry and collect further suggestions that can be prepared, evaluated and eaten together at the final picnic.
