SCHÖN EINMISCHEN, SCHÖN AUFMISCHEN – EINE ÜBUNG ZU ANREGENDEM WAHLKAMPF
The artist Tanja Krone campaigned for five long months. Without any previous experience in local politics, without money, without a program. Is that possible? Of course it’s possible. Anyone between the ages of 26 and 65, anyone with an EU passport, can stand for election anywhere in this country. And they should, because then the feeling of powerlessness will end. “Die Krone” held discussions on podiums, talked to people on the street, conscientiously answered the so-called election test stones, used its social channels and was ultimately elected as a non-Mannheimer by 1.2 percent of voters. That’s 903 votes. Not a hit, but a start! SCHÖN EINMISCHEN, SCHÖN AUFMISCHEN is a slide show, debate room and workshop all in one. On this evening, Tanja Krone will provide insights and guidance on how to run a stimulating (beautiful) election campaign. She talks about who and what you need, what you can (not) plan and how to learn to deal with loneliness. A grassroots movement with a difference.
The event is part of the series “DIE KUNST, VIELE ZU BLEIBEN. Nationwide Forums for Art, Freedom and Democracy” by the Fonds Darstellende Künste in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut, the OSTEN Festival Bitterfeld-Wolfen and in collaboration with the diverse landscape of the independent performing arts, festivals, interest groups and production houses, funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media as part of NEUSTART KULTUR.
