DIE KUNST, VIELE ZU BLEIBEN

DIE KUNST, VIELE ZU BLEIBEN is a journey through eight German cities that stands up for art, freedom and democracy in a variety of gatherings. The mobile theater truck also makes a stop at the festival center in Wolfen, where it becomes a platform, discourse space, punk concert, subversion laboratory and venue for transformation experiences. In her performative-activating workshop SCHÖN AUFMISCHEN, artist Tanja Krone invites all interested parties to try out how to put themselves up for political election. With its very own version of the most legendary of all GDR films DIE LEGENDE VON PAUL UND PAULA, the puppet theater group DAS HELMI, famous for its anarchistic performances, embarks on a search for happiness and brings the legend to the stage in an entertaining and heartfelt way. On a wasteland, Studio Urbanistan presents a ballet for three mothers in three excavators: a literally revolutionary deep excavation through social fields, in which the question of the place of mothers in the (working) world is torn open and standardized realities are ploughed up, tilled and turned around. In the evening finale, top-class voices from pop and subversion culture meet the Bitterfeld East punk band AbRAUM to ignite a firework display for democracy somewhere between punk and pamphlet, pop and politics, philosophy and beer together with all those present.
