ERDVERKOSTUNG
Earth is traditionally eaten in many regions of the world. What is behind it? Where do these traditions come from and where does edible soil come from? What are the benefits and dangers of eating soil? How do the properties of soil affect its taste? The aim of the museum is to put together an extensive collection of soils from as many countries as possible that are suggested for consumption. By understanding their different cultural uses, the earth as such can be rethought and redesigned. At the festival, masharu offers a workshop with earth tasting. The public is invited to learn more about edible earth, taste it for themselves, share taste experiences and discuss our relationship with the earth and cultural differences.
