The Kulturhaus Wolfen is inextricably linked to the history of photography and film in Wolfen and is still an anchor for art and culture in the region today.
Built in 1927 by the Agfa works, the municipal cultural center mainly served as an event venue for employees of the former Wolfen film factory until the political change in 1989. In 1991, the then town of Wolfen took over the Kulturhaus, creating the conditions for the cultural venue to become more important for the town and region. Today, the program includes events for children and young people as well as variety shows, cabaret, musicals, theater and much more.
