The Goethe-Institut has been represented in Ukraine since 1993 and is based in Kyiv. Its cultural work focuses on encounters between Ukrainian and German artists and intellectuals, the presentation of contemporary German culture and the promotion of German-Ukrainian cooperation in the cultural field.

The Goethe-Institut Ukraine not only offers a differentiated language course program, but also seminars and a wide range of services for Ukrainian German teachers to promote the German language in Ukraine. With 15 language learning centers, German courses are offered throughout Ukraine.

The information center provides information on current aspects of cultural, social and political life in Germany.
