Sven Johne

Sven Johne, born in 1976 in Bergen auf Rügen, is a visual artist who works with photography, film and text. His works are characterized by a documentary and conceptual approach. Many of his works deal with the social upheavals in East Germany; he is interested in the “footnotes of world history” (Johne). His works are represented in national and international collections and have been exhibited in Hanover, Frankfurt, Rotterdam and Brussels, among others.
