Reinhard Waag

Reinhard Waag, born in 1950 in Apolda, Thuringia, has worked in a wide variety of cultural institutions in the GDR since 1972. He has experience in the fields of corporate cultural work, public relations, stage decoration, organization of event and exhibition centers and cultural heritage management. From 1995 to 2003, he managed the Kulturpalast Bitterfeld. In 2015, he founded a citizens’ initiative to preserve the Kulturpalast as an important point of identification for Bitterfeld’s citizens. Reinhard Waag is also a founding member and chairman of the Bernhard Franke Association, which regularly presents Bernhard Franke’s artistic legacy to the public in exhibitions.
