Patrice Heine

Patrice Heine is Managing Director of Chemiepark Bitterfeld-Wolfen GmbH, the site company and infrastructure service provider at the chemical park of the same name in Bitterfeld-Wolfen. Born in Schwerin in 1972, he and his family left the GDR in the year of its 40th anniversary to find a new home in the border triangle of Germany, Switzerland and France. After studying environmental and process engineering in Cottbus, he spent longer periods in the USA, the Balkans and Poland before setting up camp permanently with his family in the tranquil town of Bad Schmiedeberg in the district of Wittenberg, where he now works for GELSENWASSER AG. For nine years now, he has been committed to balancing economic and environmental interests in the region, with a particular focus on strengthening local civil society.
