Maryna Makarenko

Maryna Makarenko, born in 1990 in Shostka (Ukraine), is an interdisciplinary artist who works with video, sound and the body, both documentary and fictional. She studied at the Berlin University of the Arts and at OCAD University in Toronto. In her works, she deals with the phenomenon of transience, particularly with regard to the body and the formation of identity. She currently teaches as a guest lecturer at the Berlin University of the Arts.
