Julia Schäfer

Julia Schäfer, born in 1972, is a curator, art educator and trainee teacher for an inclusive concept of art. She examines mediation strategies in the curatorial field of contemporary art – since 2018 increasingly in non-museum contexts. She is Head of Council at fail.institute, jury member at Land-in-Sicht-e.V., founding member of Komplizenschaft. From 2001 to 2021 she was a curator at the GfZK, 2000 assistant at the New Museum, New York, 1998-2001 freelancer at the Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg.
