Johanna Gerlach

Johanna Gerlach, born in 1993, is a freelance cultural worker and works as a scenography assistant. In the ten years she lived and studied in Leipzig, she worked in small off-locations, got involved in housing politics and discovered the relevance of art and cultural events. As a jack-of-all-trades, she has worked for music, film and art festivals, including Garbicz Festival, Werkleitz Festival, DOK Leipzig, At.tension and many more. Since 2020, she has been working with Werftvolle Zukunft e.V. to develop an industrial wasteland, the old shipyard, in Aken, where she currently lives.
