Folkert Uhde

After working as a radio technician, musicology student, baroque violinist, concert agency operator and festival inventor, Folkert Uhde founded the Berlin Radialsystem together with Jochen Sandig in 2006. Since then, he has been working on the development of new formats for the stage, media and institutions. He coined the term concert design to describe the complex process of developing new concert formats for classical music. Since 2015, he has directed the Köthen Bach Festival and, together with Hans-Joachim Gögl, the Montfort Zwischentöne. Since 2021 he has been teaching at the State Center MUSIC DESIGN PERFORMANCE at the State University of Music Trossingen.
