Christian Tschirner, born in Lutherstadt Wittenberg in 1969 and raised in Karl Marx Stadt, now Chemnitz, is a dramaturge. After training as an animal keeper at Leipzig Zoo, he studied acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin. He then worked as an actor, director, author and dramaturge at the TAT in Frankfurt, Schauspiel Hannover, Schauspielhaus Hamburg and the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz in Berlin, among others. He is a founding member of the author collective Soeren Voima and the performance group les dramaturx.
