Cécile Belmont, born in Dieppe in 1975, is a visual artist. In her work, she uses textiles, performances, and installations to interrogate the connections between the political and the private and is performing public interrogations that often find expression in inscribed garments, printed fabric panels, paper letters, and other written supports. With these, she makes people’s words visible – and opens a dialogue with spatial, architectural, and social dimensions.
