Caroline Ektander, born in Stockholm in 1982, is an architect and author who is currently completing a PhD in Art and Design at the Bauhaus University Weimar. In her work, she questions the common narratives about environmental pollution in post-industrial contexts and tries to broaden the debate. In 2018, together with Prof. Simone Müller and Antonia Alampi, she founded the interdisciplinary platform Toxic Commons and regularly gives lectures, publishes and develops ongoing research and actions within this framework.
