Nevzat Akpınar

Nevzat Akpınar is a composer and Bağlama player. He lives in Berlin, has participated in many international projects as a Bağlama player. In 2007, he gave a concert with the Nevzat Akpınar Ensemble at New York’s Carnegie Hall as part of the Berlin Lights Festival. In 2009, Akkiraz Müzik (Istanbul) released his solo CD “On Hybrid Ways” with exclusively original compositions for Bağlama. Furthermore he composed the music for numerous theater and dance plays. He also musically accompanied Mely Kiyak on her reading tour with her book “Istanbul Notizen”.
